About this dish
A breakfast-style burger: buttered, toasted buns filled with bacon, avocado and an egg. There is no patty; the bacon and egg take that role. At 12 minutes it works for brunch as well as a quick dinner.
Ingredients
Preparation
Cut the burger buns in half. Heat a small piece of butter in a pan over high heat and toast the buns for 3 minutes, with the cut faces against the pan.
Remove the buns, then add the bacon slices to the same pan and cook for 2 minutes on each side over high heat, until almost crispy. Transfer to paper towel.
Keep the same pan, add a small piece of butter and fry the eggs. Season with salt and pepper.
Assemble the burgers. Add the avocado, season with salt and pepper. Add the bacon, the fried egg and chopped chives if you have some. Close the burger. Enjoy!
Tips
For an extra indulgent touch, add fresh cheese, red onion rings and a little lettuce.
