About this dish
A classic bacon cheeseburger with cheddar, red onion, lettuce, mayonnaise and ketchup in a toasted bun. The bacon cooks first in a very hot pan, and the red onion is sliced into strips.
Ingredients
Preparation
Cut the onion in half, then slice it into strips.
In a very hot pan, add the bacon slices and grill for 2 minutes on each side over high heat. They should become almost crispy. Transfer to a paper towel.
In the same pan, add a small piece of butter. Cut the burger buns in half, then toast them for 2 minutes over high heat, with the cut faces against the pan.
In the same pan, add a small piece of butter, then cook the beef patty on one side for 2 minutes over high heat. Season with salt and pepper. Flip it and cook for 2 minutes on the other side. Season with salt and pepper, then add the cheddar. Cover, turn off the heat and continue cooking for 1 minute.
Make the sauce by mixing the mayonnaise with the ketchup.
Assemble the buns by spreading the sauce on the base. Add the lettuce, the patty with melted cheddar, the bacon slices, the red onion and close the burger. It's ready!
