About this dish

A rice salad with canned tuna, thinly sliced red onion and fresh cilantro, dressed with olive oil. The ingredient list is short, so the cilantro and onion matter. Soaking the sliced onion briefly in cold water takes the edge off its raw bite.

Ingredients

Rice280 g
Canned tuna, drained200 g
Fresh cilantro1/3 bunch
Red onion1/2
Olive oil4 tbsp

Preparation

1.

Cook the rice according to the package instructions.

2.

Meanwhile, peel and thinly slice the red onion. Chop the cilantro.

3.

Once the rice is cooked, rinse it thoroughly under cold water, then drain it into a salad bowl. Add the tuna, onion, cilantro, 1 tablespoon of olive oil per person, salt and pepper. Mix well, it's ready!
