About this dish
A chicken burger on toasted buns with iceberg lettuce, tomato and a herb mayonnaise made by stirring dried parsley and garlic into mayonnaise. The buns are toasted cut side down in butter for a golden, crisp surface. Chicken breast is lean, so cook it just through to keep it from drying out.
Ingredients
Preparation
Melt a small piece of butter in a pan over medium heat. Toast the burger buns for 1 to 2 minutes, with the cut faces against the pan, until golden. Set aside.
In the same pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, until cooked through and golden.
Meanwhile, wash and thinly slice the tomatoes.
Prepare the herb mayonnaise. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise and the dried parsley and garlic blend. Season with pepper.
Assemble the burgers by spreading the herb mayonnaise on the buns. Add the lettuce, then the tomato and chicken. Close the burger and serve on a plate. Enjoy right away, it's ready!
