About this dish
Chicken tacos with strips of green bell pepper and onion seasoned with chili powder, topped with cheddar, little gem lettuce and cilantro. Verde means green in Spanish, and here the green comes from the bell pepper and cilantro rather than from a tomatillo salsa verde. The tacos use soft wheat tortillas, as in Tex-Mex cooking.
