About this dish

Linguine with bacon lardons, peas and garlic in a sour cream and parmesan sauce. Sour cream gives a lightly tangy sauce compared with the liquid cream in similar recipes. The peas cook in the pasta water with the linguine, so one pot serves for both.

Ingredients

Linguine pasta400 g
Bacon lardons280 g
Frozen peas400 g
Garlic1 clove
Sour cream4 tbsp
Grated parmesan4 tbsp

Preparation

1.

In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta and peas according to the package instructions. Drain at the end of cooking.

2.

Meanwhile, in a pan over medium heat, add the grated garlic and bacon lardons. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring.

3.

Add the sour cream and grated parmesan. Mix, then simmer for 1 to 2 minutes, so the sauce thickens slightly.

4.

Add the pasta, peas and reserved cooking water if needed. Mix and continue cooking for 1 to 2 minutes.

5.

Serve the creamy linguine with peas and bacon lardons in a bowl or deep plate. Adjust the seasoning to taste, it's ready!
