About this dish
Large chunks of tomato and cucumber with green bell pepper, red onion, feta and Kalamata olives, dressed with olive oil and oregano. The dressing is olive oil, red wine vinegar and dried oregano. In Greece it is called horiatiki, the village salad, and it has no lettuce. It is at its best in summer, when the tomatoes are ripe; in winter it loses most of its appeal.
