About this dish
A folded omelette with ham and thin slices of Comté, served with a lamb's lettuce and arugula salad. Thin slices of Comté melt in the time it takes the eggs to set. Ham and cheese is the classic French omelette filling, and the dish takes 9 minutes.
Ingredients
Preparation
Cut the comté into thin slices.
In a bowl, crack the eggs. Season with salt and pepper. Whisk with a fork.
Melt a small piece of butter in a pan over medium heat. Pour in the eggs and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
Once the bottom of the omelette is golden, add the ham torn into pieces and the comté. Cook over low heat for 2 to 3 minutes, breaking up the bottom of the omelette with a spatula to help it cook, then fold it in half.
Serve the ham and comté omelette on a plate with the green salad, seasoned to taste. It's ready!
