About this dish

A ready-made buckwheat galette with ham, grated cheese, sautéed mushrooms and egg. Forestière, in French cooking, means garnished with mushrooms, so this is a galette complète with mushrooms added. The galette is store-bought, and the mushrooms take a few minutes in butter.

Ingredients

Buckwheat galette4
Ham4 slices
Grated cheese8 pinches
Fresh button mushrooms320 g
Eggs4
Shallot (optional)1
Butter4 knobs

Preparation

1.

If you have some, peel and finely chop the shallot.

2.

Wash and thinly slice the mushrooms.

3.

Melt a small piece of butter in a pan over high heat. Add the shallot and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring.

4.

Add the mushrooms and continue cooking for 5 to 6 minutes, until the liquid released by the mushrooms has fully evaporated. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside off the heat.

5.

In the same pan, melt a second piece of butter. Add the buckwheat galette.

6.

Crack the egg in the center of the galette, being careful not to break the yolk. Sprinkle with grated cheese, then add the torn ham and the grilled mushrooms.

7.

Cook for 3 minutes over medium heat, then fold the galette into a square or half-moon. Enjoy!
