About this dish
Spiced ground beef over iceberg lettuce with black beans, avocado, cheddar, sour cream, lime and tortilla chips. It is a taco in salad form, closer to Tex-Mex than to Mexican cooking. The beef takes 5 to 6 minutes in a hot pan with the spice blend, and the tortilla chips go on last so they stay crisp.
Ingredients
Preparation
In a hot pan, add the ground beef and the Mexican spice blend. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring to break up the meat. Set aside.
Meanwhile, halve the avocado and remove the skin. Cut it into thin slices.
Prepare the sour cream sauce. In a bowl, mix the sour cream with half the lime juice. Season with salt and pepper and add a generous drizzle of olive oil.
In a deep plate or bowl, serve the chopped lettuce with the drained beans, ground beef and grated cheddar. Add the avocado slices, salsa sauce and tortilla chips. Drizzle everything with the sour cream sauce. It's ready!
