About this dish
A white pizza with no tomato sauce: dough topped with ricotta and mozzarella, baked at 240°C (460°F) and finished with basil. In Rome, pizza bianca also names a plain flatbread with olive oil and salt; this one is the cheese version. Ricotta gives a creamy base and mozzarella adds the stretch.
Ingredients
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 240°C (460°F). Roll out the pizza dough on a baking sheet.
On the pizza dough, spread the ricotta (leave a 1 cm border), then season with salt and pepper.
Add the mozzarella torn into pieces and a generous drizzle of olive oil. Bake for 10 minutes at 240°C (460°F).
Once the pizza is nicely golden, remove it from the oven. Add basil leaves if you have some, it's ready!
Tips
For an extra indulgent touch, we recommend adding mushrooms, bacon lardons or goat cheese to your pizza.
